Big Bear Lake held a two by twelve Mountain Bike race on Saturday. The race was part of Mountain Fest.

The two by twelve is duo teams that race on 12 mile courses. Experts do three laps each and sport classes do two laps each.

The experts were competing for a $6,000 cash prize.

"Not only is it competitive, it's team building and it's a lot of fun to race. We have some great activities afterwards," said Mark Schooley, general manager. "We have some bluegrass music in the evening and beverages later on. It's just a real fun family event."

There was also a free kids mountain bike race before the festivities began.
