Posted: Updated:

A group in Fairmont has worked together for the past several months to bring the city back to life.

It came up with "Knit the City" to brighten up downtown Fairmont.

Volunteers have tied colorful pieces of yarn on the trees in the 100 block of Adams Street.

There is a variety of designs, including Fairmont State and West Virginia University logos.

The yarn designs will remain on display the entire month of June.
