State Police Arrest Preston County Man for Burglary, Assault

West Virginia State Police have arrested a Preston County man on burglary and assault charges.

They've charged Terry Ford, 50, with daytime burglary, assault during the commission of a felony, malicious assault, and grand larceny.

Police said a woman called 911 and said Ford had broken into her home, tried to stab her with a screwdriver, and then stolen her phone and car.

Ford is in North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $200,000.
