FAIRMONT -

Car cruises are often a staple of summer, especially at DJ's Diner in Fairmont, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

The owners held the first "rain-free" car cruise of the summer Thursday night.

DJ's Diner had specials for the anniversary and the same menu favorites.

"That's the thing about the diner. We serve home cooked meals," said owner DJ Rundel. "I mean, my dad makes the cabbage rolls, homemade cabbage rolls, homemade stuffed peppers, fall off the bone ribs. These are homemade foods and people love them. You just can't get anywhere else but in a diner."

DJ's Diner holds cruises every Thursday evening in the summer.
