West Virginia State Police have arrested a Whitmer man and charged him with first degree sexual assault.

Dennis Arbaugh, 48, is accused of forcing himself on an 11-year-old girl and threatening to kill her if she told anyone what he did to her, according to a criminal complaint.

The victim told authorities at the Randolph County Child Advocacy Center that she asked Arbaugh to stop multiple times, but when she did, he held her down and threatened to kill her.

Arbaugh is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $100,000 bail.
