The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department has identified a man who lost control of his 2012 Dodge Ram on Interstate 68 west around 3:39 a.m. Wednesday.
Sheriff's deputies charged Joshua B. Huffman with aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol. Huffman lost control of his vehicle, ran off of the north roadway edge, tore out approximately 50 ft. of guardrail, crossed a grassy field and ran deep into
the adjoining woods, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.
Huffman initially refused medical treatment but was later taken to the hospital at his request.
The interstate was closed for about 90 minutes while Westover Towing removed the vehicle from the woods.
