Gary Walden Gary Walden
MONONGALIA COUNTY -

The West Virginia Human Rights Commission is accusing Morgantown landlord, Gary Walden, of violating an agreement.

According to court documents, the agreement that Walden is violating is one that bans from sexually assaulting tenants. This is stemming from sexual harassment cases that happened in 2008. Walden is accused of being in contempt of that agreement four times in 2012.

The cases include requesting sexual favors from tenants in exchange for repairs and upgrades to the residence and making comments of sexual nature to tenants.

The commission has asked Judge Robert Stone to fine Walden $5,000 for each count. Walden would need to pay a total of $20,000.

The commission is also asking to extend the order of the protections provided in 2008 for an extra five years.

A court date has not been set.
