Two men were recently sentenced on drug charges in a Federal Court in Clarksburg, according to U.S. Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II.
Jason Saunders, 25 of Bridgeport, was sentenced to 41 months in prison to be followed by six years of supervised release. Officials said Saunders pleaded guilty on March 20, 2013 to distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of Simpson Elementary School.
Derek Deleon Brown, 23 of Clarksburg, was sentenced to 15 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. Brown pleaded guilty on March 20, 2013 to distribution of crack cocaine in Harrison County, according to officials.
Saunders and Brown were both remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.
