WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS -

There are many amenities at The Greenbrier Resort that many people don't know about.

One attraction was something only a handful of guests knew about for nearly three decades.

The underground U.S. Legislative Branch bunker was installed into the mountain side,
behind the Greenbrier Resort, in 1955.

It was designed to hold all of the members of the U.S. Congress if a nuclear blast impacted
the United States.

The Bunker was in secret until 1992, before the Washington Post broke the story.

The bunker also houses conference rooms as well as aid offices and a cafeteria.

During the week of The Greenbrier Classic, only PGA badge holders and Greenbrier Resort
guests are allowed to tour the bunker.

However, once the Classic wraps up, the bunker will reopen to the public.

Tours are $30 and last around 90-minutes.
