Fireworks, Festivities Held Across NCWV for the Fourth of July

The city of Fairmont continued its Fourth of July festivities Thursday night with a Fireworks Celebration at Palatine Park.

People lined the streets and bridges to watch the show. The festivities began earlier in the night and featured live music and food vendors.

Also held Thursday night: Morgantown's "Red, White, and Boom" at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park.

Meanwhile, in Lewis County, residents came together in Weston for an all-day Fourth of July celebration. The fun kicked off with the city's annual Independence Day Parade, featuring the 2013 Flame Queen.

Families then headed over to Robert L. Bland Middle School for live music, games, and the firefighters competition. Spectators got to their seats early for the fireworks.

If you missed Thursday's show in Lewis County, there will also be fireworks over Stonewall Jackson Lake on Saturday.

The city of Clarksburg will hold its fireworks on Saturday.
