Update:

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the man killed in the collision Friday night.

Toxicology reports are pending for Andrew John Robinson, 21 of Grafton, who died in the collision, according to the sheriff's department.

Deputies said the investigation is ongoing.

Update:

One man is dead after an accident Friday evening in Taylor County.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department said the two-vehicle accident happened just after 9 p.m. on U.S. Route 50 in Taylor County on what is called Belgium Hill.

Sheriff's deputies said a Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound when it crossed left of center of Route 50 and struck a GMC Sierra pickup truck. 

The driver of the Altima died in the accident. The other driver was taken to United Hospital Center for treatment. His injuries appeared to be non life threatening, officials said.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department is investigating a two vehicle collision that has killed one person.

911 said it happened just after 9 p.m. on U.S. Route 50 in Taylor County on what is called Belgium Hill.

The Grafton Fire Department and Taylor County EMS are on scene.

Route 50 is currently shut down, and traffic is being diverted around the accident scene.
