WV seeks input on historic preservation efforts

Posted: Updated:

CHARLESTON (AP) — State officials are looking to hear from West Virginians regarding its 2013-2014 preservation efforts.

The West Virginia Division of Culture and History says its annual work program is available for public comment.

The plan describes the activities and programs the State Historic Preservation Office will undertake to assist communities and residents in preserving the physical evidence of the state's history.

Copies of the proposed work program are available to public libraries in each of the state's 55 counties. The plan also may be reviewed at the Culture Center in Charleston.

The deadline for public comment is Aug. 15.
