BUCKHANNON -

A longtime member of the oil and gas industry was honored Wednesday in Buckhannon.

Dignitaries and family members of the late Thomas B. Dunn were on hand to dedicate a stretch of highway along U.S. Route 20 as the Thomas B. Dunn Memorial Highway.

Dunn died last year.

The stretch of highway is dedicated to Dunn's support and contributions made throughout his life to the city of Buckhannon and surrounding area.

"So having a highway named after my husband will be near and dear to my heart. My husband loved his community, Buckhannon. He loved his college, he loves the hospital, and everything he contributed throughout his life has been an important factor," said Carol Dunn, Thomas Dunn's wife.
