Fairmont Man Donates and Delivers Generator to Wallace Family

WALLACE -

Last week, a family in Wallace became a victim of theft when their generator was stolen from them.

A few days after a story aired on 12 News, a man who chose to keep his name anonymous, called to donate a generator to the Wilderson family.

"I'm happier today that's for sure," said Susan Wilderson, who received a generator after hers was stolen a few weeks ago.

The family is no longer without a generator after a kind and selfless act.

Wilderson said she never lost faith in humanity, even after something was taken from her most likely from someone she knows.

"There are people out there that are good people and care.  I know that there are good people," Wilderson said.

Wilderson said the man who gave her a new generator went above and beyond, and even offered to leave his house in Fairmont to deliver and set up the generator at her home in Wallace.

"Even came down delivered it this morning, brought gas, oil for it. And he was a very nice man," Wilderson said.

Wilderson said he's someone we should all thank.

"Served in Vietnam, and he served me and my mom today. So salute to you, we really appreciate it," Wilderson said.
