MORGANTOWN, WV -

Nicole Riggleman has joined the West Virginia University Alumni Association as director of development.

She will oversee donor relations and fundraising efforts for the organization, including major/planned gifts, stewardship activities and the organization's annual gift program.

Riggleman previously served as assistant director of development for the Benjamin M. Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, where she was responsible for managing alumni stewardship events and campus visits, including the dedication of the Statler College in honor of Ben and Jo Statler's $34 million gift. Riggleman also coordinated the college's annual fund activities, including direct mail, phonathon, campus campaign and Mountaineer Mark. She was responsible for securing major gifts for scholarships and fellowships totaling more than $300,000.

Riggleman, a native of Moorefield, earned a bachelor of science in journalism with a specialization in public relations and a master of science in integrated marketing communications, both from WVU's P.I. Reed School of Journalism.
