Saturday afternoon a few of your 12 News favorites played in a charity tournament raising money for veterans with cancer.
It's the third year the VA hospital has held the tournament, each year raising money for a different nonprofit.
This year organizers chose Heroes for Hope as the benefactor. Heroes for Hope is a group of surviving veterans with cancer.
The VA said the benefit truly hits home.
"These are the people we get to see, face-to-face. We'll see them and say we were there. We are attending as a softball team, and serve lunch for them. Knowing the donations from this event, and other things we've done, is amazing. We can't wait," said Reney Cook of the VA Hospital.
