PENNSBORO -

West Virginia State Police in Ritchie County arrested Steven Andrew Fisher, 22, and charged him with first degree murder in the death of his father Michael Ogle Jr., 61, on Saturday night.

Police initially responded to a shots fired complaint, and when they arrived Fisher was sitting on the porch outside.

Police then secured Fisher before entering the home on Pennsylvania Avenue in Pennsboro where they discovered Ogle's body near the front door. According to police, Ogle suffered several gunshot wounds.

Police said that Ogle and Fisher got into a verbal argument before Fisher went into his bedroom upstairs and grabbed a .347 caliber handgun.  Police could not provide details on what led to the argument.

Fisher is currently in the North Central Regional Jail.
