FAIRMONT -

Update

The boil water notice issued by the City of Fairmont has been lifted.

Original Story

The city of Fairmont is installing a new hydrant at the intersection of Pleasant Valley and Kendal Drive on Monday and at Pleasant Valley and Nicki Street on Tuesday.

The city said the water will be turned off and could affect surrounding areas until Tuesday.

This is between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

It could discolor, cloud, interrupt, and change the pressure of your water.  If it does, you are urged to boil your water for at least one minute before drinking, washing or cooking with it.

Customers with no water should call the Fairmont Filtration Plant at (304) 366-1461.
