MountainFest is Underway in Morgantown

Posted: Updated:

The ninth annual MountainFest weekend has finally arrived, and the motorcycles are already starting to crowd roads in and around Monongalia County.

MountainFest attracts thousands of bikers with its food booths, vendors, and live music.

This year, the event is expected to bring 60,000 people to the area.

"Guess Who" and "Three Dog Night" performed on the main stage Friday.

The festival is underway at many locations in and around Morgantown, but the main stage is located at Mylan Park.

The welcome tent is located at the new Triple S Harley Davidson, off the Granville exit on Interstate 79.

Events will continue Saturday, July 27 with a motorcycle parade at 1 p.m.

The parade will start at the WVU Coliseum and make its way to downtown Morgantown.

The city will close the Walnut Street and Pleasant Street Bridges and detour downtown traffic from Willey to Prospect Street.

Look for delays on Beechurst Avenue, University Avenue and Willey Street until the parade is over.

The 21 and over general admission tickets are $25 per day. This includes parking and admittance to Mylan Park for all shows and musical performances. General admission for ages 13- 20 is $15 and children 12 and under get in for free. Tickets can be purchased at the main gate.
