UPDATE: Suspect In Custody After Stabbing in Salem

A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Salem. It happened just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday on East Main Street in Salem.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department said Richard Ahlgrim, 46 of West Union, stabbed Michael Moore, 32 of Salem, as a result of an argument over money. The incident happened in the yard between Moore's  house and a neighbor's house.

Ahlgrim fled the scene of the stabbing and was arrested West Union Chief of Police Jerry Turner in Doddridge County.

Ahlgrim has been charged with malicious wounding is currently in the North Central Regional Jail. Moore is currently listed in critical condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital, according to the sheriff's department.

The sheriff's department is still investigating the incident and said other charges could follow. There are no additional arrests expected.

One person has been transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital after a stabbing in Harrison County Sunday night.

It happened just before 9:30 on East Main Street in Salem.

The Harrison County 911 Center said one person was stabbed in the abdominal area.

The Doddridge County 911 Center has confirmed State Police have a suspect in custody.

The Salem Volunteer Fire Department, Anmoore EMS, and Harrison County Sheriff's Department are on scene.
