Update:

Three people, including two children, are dead and another adult and a third child are in critical condition after a collision in Tucker County early Wednesday morning, according to West Virginia State Police.

The crash occurred on Route 219 near Thomas at approximately 5:10 a.m.

State Police said Joshua Lee Watson, 20 of Elkins, was traveling south on Route 219 in a Honda Accord when the vehicle traveled left of center. It was then struck by a Ford F-550 driven by Michael J. Pugh, 44 of Parson, that was traveling north.

Witnesses told State Police that it appeared that the Honda Accord was pulling off the roadway when the vehicle abruptly turned back across the northbound lane in front of the Ford F-550.

Watson, along with an 8-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy, were killed in the crash. Two other passengers in the Honda Accord, April Miller, 29 of Elkins, and a 6-year-old girl, were flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital. Miller is currently in fair condition and the 6-year-old girl is currently listed in critical condition, according to State Police.

Pugh and two other passengers in the Ford F-550 did not report injuries, according to State Police.
