Holly River State Park in Webster County was slammed by last year's major storms and is almost back to normal.

Crews have spent the year rebuilding the park.

Downed power lines caused major outages throughout the year and are now being converted to underground lines.

Staff said there's been a lot of teamwork to get the park where it is today.

"The crew here has really come together as a team. They've been working real diligently. They have all the trails but one open right now. We've been still fighting power problems, we have all but 34 of our campsites at full capacity," said Biff Healy, of Holly River State Park.

Healy said he expects that much of the remaining work will be done before the season is out.

All campsites in Campground Area #1 are open.

Bathhouse #4 is now open, but three Area #4 campsites (#58, #59 and #60) are still without power.

Bathhouses #2 and #3 do not have electric service, but still offer cold water showers.

Campsites in Area #2 and Area #3 (sites 20-38) do not have electricity, but are still open.

All other facilities have full electrical service and the restaurant is open, but the swimming pool will remain closed for the 2013 season.
