HUNTINGTON, WV -
A Detroit man found with more than $38,000 in cash and 44 baggies of heroin was taken to jail Thursday.
David Walker, 35, is charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to court documents.
Agents with the Huntington Violent Crime Drug Task Force say they were executing a search warrant at Walker's Huntington apartment on 15th Street and that is when they found the money and the drugs. Agents also found numerous cell phones and several guns.
The heroin found in the apartment was divided into 44 individual bags weighing a total of 28 grams.
Walker is also facing charges of conspiracy. Agents say the investigation into this case link the suspect to Kim Hamlet, Butch Nida and more co-conspirators. Agents say they were all working together at the Huntington apartment to sell heroin.
Walker's bail was set at $200,000 cash only. He is facing up to 15 years in prison.
