A man accused of killing three people at Windmill Park in Fairmont in 1974 appeared in court Wednesday for a pretrial motion hearing.

Marion County Prosecuting Attorney Pat Wilson said there were several motions pending by Eddie Washington's defense.

He said there were some that the state agreed on and others that Judge Michael Aloi had to put under advisement.

Washington will go to trial on November 18.

Marion County Judge Michael Aloi granted a motion for Eddie Jack Washington's defense to access all prison records of John Russell Ford.

Ford, Washington and Phillip Bush were allegedly all together the night of the triple murders.

Aloi also granted a motion with the restriction that the documents be provided 'in camera'.

A judge has set a trial date for a man accused of a triple homicide at Windmill Park in Fairmont in 1974.

Eddie Jack Washington will appear before Judge Michael Aloi on Monday, November 18.

Judge Aloi has denied a pretrial motion to dismiss an indictment for the murders against Washington as well as motions to suppress statements made by Washington in 1978 and 2013.

Judge Michael Aloi held another pretrial hearing in Marion County Tuesday morning for Eddie Jack Washington.

Washington is accused of killing three people in 1974 at Windmill Park in Fairmont.

Last week, the court heard from several witnesses including a doctor and two former state police troopers.

Tuesday, attorneys for the prosecution and the defense questioned a Fairmont police detective.

Washington will stand trial in the October term of court.

Eddie Jack Washington appeared in Marion County Court Tuesday morning before Judge Michael Aloi for a pretrial hearing.

Washington is accused of killing three people at Windmill Park in Fairmont in 1974.

The court heard from several witnesses, including Dr. Ronald Pierce, a psychiatrist, who conducted an evaluation on Washington recently.

Dr. Pierce looked at Washington's IQ and competence and determined that Washington's IQ was at a second grade level. Dr. Pierce also said that Washington scored a 58 on the evaluation. He said anything less than 70 in considered "mildly mentally retarded".

The court also heard from detectives as well as former State Police officers who interviewed Washington in 1978 about the triple homicide.

The judge granted the request made by the defense that Washington's trial be moved to the next term of court.
