A new book featuring amateur and professional photos of West Virginia has been published.

The Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club put together photos from West Virginia to celebrate the state's 150th birthday.

The project received more than 1,000 photos from camera clubs around the state.

The 40 page book features more than 200 photographs featuring people, landmarks, nature and beauty of the Mountain State.

"There's a lot of fun photos, and it shows West Virginia as it is today. A great state to visit and we tried to communicate that because we know a lot of people outside of the state will hopefully now will come to West Virginia once they get to see this," said Al Tucker, co-author.
