The father of a 5-month-old child that was taken to the hospital with broken ribs, internal bleeding, and burn marks has entered into a plea agreement.
David Mazza entered into a plea agreement on one count of child neglect resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of child neglect resulting in injury, and one count of child neglect creating risk of injury.
Mazza could spend up to 19 years in prison and be responsible for fines. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 2.
Mazza was arrested in February of 2013 after the 5-month-old child was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with five broken ribs.
The baby's mother, Sabra Hardman, will be sentenced on Thursday.
