The Doddridge County Fair held its amateur talent contest on Wednesday.

Almost 30 acts took the stage in the junior, teen, and adult categories.

First, second, and third place prizes were awarded in each category.

Almost all the acts were singers, with one dancer, and numerous contestants playing instruments while singing.

A panel of three judges scored the acts in five different categories.

The amateur talent contest is one of the main attractions for the fair.

The fair has been an annual event for the last 37 years.

On Thursday there will be a livestock sale, a demolition derby, a cornhole tournament, and a gospel sing featuring the Skyline Boys.

Friday there will be motocross racing, an old fashion square dance, and the headlining act Chase Likens.

On Saturday there are many events including a motorcycle show, a mud bog, a diaper derby, and a performance by the LoCash Cowboys.

The fair ends on Sunday. There are rides and food vendors open every day at the fair.

The Doddridge County Fair's theme for 2013 is "Remember When."

The Doddridge County Fair is located off of Route 50 in Doddridge County on Snowbird Road.
