Dynamic Physical Therapy in Sabraton opened the first underwater treadmill for general treatment in the county.

The aquatic program is unique to Morgantown and includes an endless pool, two swim streams, and the treadmill.

Aquatic therapy encourages strength and excellent recovery by allowing patients to take on only as much as they can handle.

In 2003, Lincoln Kinkade began Dynamic Physical Therapy in the Morgantown community and believes that aquatic therapy can make a difference for patients.

"Dynamic Physical Therapy is all about getting people better in the most efficient means possible. And there are times that getting people in the aquatic environment offers a possibility that they can heal faster and resume normal function on a daily basis much quicker," said Kinkade.

The buoyancy of the water helps patients walk and exercise faster after accidents or surgery.

Dynamic Physical Therapy has seven locations across North Central West Virginia.

Other locations include Westover, Morgantown, Fairmont, Pleasant Valley, Bridgeport and Jane Lew.

The Sabraton location is open Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Dynamic Physical Therapy also provides industrial rehabilitation, pediatric therapy, pre-operative and post-operative rehabilitation, spine rehabilitation, specialized hand therapy, sports medicine and general orthopedic programs, and sport specific rehabilitation.
