Local Restaurants Participate in Weston's Summer Stroll Jazz Concert

Posted: Updated:

Downtown Weston will be jumping Friday evening.

Four local restaurants will participate in Weston's Summer Stroll.

Each restaurant will host a different jazz musician, and provide music without a cover charge to the public.

Restaurant owner Jill Stewart said it's a great way to celebrate an American style of music.

"It's really something to celebrate and it's great to bring people together, and certainly a great place to get to do this because the closest place that you can really go to experience music like this is in the cities," said Stewart, owner of the Pink Moon Coffeehouse.

The performances will start at 6:30 Friday evening, at restaurants in downtown Weston.

Two Second Street eateries will host musicians.  The Jenny Wilson Trio will perform at the Thyme Bistro, and Second and Center Cafe will host the Steve Himes Connection and Danielle Conard.

The Pink Moon Coffeehouse on Main Street will host Seth Maynard's Osmosis and saxophonist Marshall Keyes, and Adam Loudin's House Band will perform at Kathy's Riverside Restaurant on Water Street.

The band will perform sets at 6:30, 7:45 and 9.  Each set will be about 50 minutes so that people will have the opportunity to switch venues throughout the night.
