BECKLEY (AP) — Homeless veterans in the Raleigh County area are getting a little help to pay rent.

Sens. Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin and Rep. Nick Rahall say Raleigh County has received more than $105,000 in federal funding to provide rental assistance for homeless veterans.

The money is part of a cooperative grant program by the Departments of Housing and Urban Development and Veterans Affairs.

The program helps homeless veterans find housing through both rental assistance and Veterans Affairs' case management and clinical services.
