G-MAC Announces Neutral Site Locations for Championship Events

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced that a handful of its championship events will be hosted at neutral site locations, starting in 2013-14. The G-MAC has partnered with the Greater Cincinnati Sports Corporation and the city of Cincinnati, will play host to the 2013 Volleyball Crossover event, the 2014 Men's Golf Championship, the 2014 Women's Golf Championship, and the 2014 Baseball Championship Tournament.

In addition, the G-MAC has also partnered with the city of Vienna, West Virginia to play host to the 2014-2016 Conference Softball Tournaments, and Marietta College, which will host the inaugural Indoor Track and Field Championships on March 1, 2014.

"The G-MAC has focused on identifying quality neutral site venues for several of the league's 17 championships in 2013-14," commented G-MAC Commissioner Tom Daeger on the announcement of the neutral site championships. "The sites selected for this year's events, the first for the G-MAC as an active DII conference, will provide a great game environment for the student-athletes and fans. We are looking forward to working with the venues and local communities to develop these championship events."

The 2013 Volleyball Crossover Event, which will feature all eight volleyball playing institutions in the G-MAC playing four matches each over a two-day period, will take place on October 4-5, 2013 at the Courts4Sports Facility in Mason, Ohio - a suburb just north of Cincinnati.

The 2014 Women's Golf Championship will take place on April 14-15, 2014 at the TPC-Riverbend Golf Course in Maineville, Ohio - again a suburb just north of Cincinnati, while the Men's Golf Championship will take place at Glenview Golf Course in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 22-23, 2014. The 2014 Baseball Championship Tournament, which will take place on May 7-10, 2014 at the new state-of-the-art Prasco Park (Baseball Complex) in Mason, Ohio.

The Fall Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, along with the inaugural Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the Women's Tennis Championship in the Spring, will all be hosted by Cedarville University.

Men's and Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, and Women's Volleyball will all be hosted by the regular-season champion and top seed for each individual sport.
