35th Annual West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival Kicks Off in Clarksburg

The 35th annual West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival kicked off in Clarksburg this morning.

According to the festival's website, the WVIHF has been rated among the "Top 100 Events in North America" by the ABA, a "Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society" & one of the "Top 4 Italian Festival's" in the nation by the National Sons of Italy.

Local restaurants set up shop, with your favorite Italian dishes ready to eat.

Other events include a variety of musical performances, meatball eating contests and a fireworks show on Saturday night.

The festival will run through Sunday, September 1, in downtown Clarksburg.
