State Police have arrested a Charleston man on drug charges.

State Police pulled over Nicholas Kirby, 20, for speeding on I-79 in Marion County. 

Corporal Mike Boyle of the Fairmont detachment of the West Virginia State Police said Kirby was pulled over for speeding more than 80 mph.

When police searched Kirby's car they found approximately $2,000, a pound of Marijuana, five Marijuana brownies, cocaine, scales and other drug paraphernalia. 

The passenger in Kirby's car, Jacob Maxwell of Dunbar, was also cited for a misdemeanor possession of Marijuana, less than 15 grams.

Kirby is being charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

He's being held in the North Central Regional Jail.

Bail hasn't been set yet.
