Posted: Updated:

After seven years of service, a Marion County police dog will be retiring.

Grant Town said it is making sure it sends Czar off to retirement with a celebration.

Matt Biggie, Grant Town Police Chief, said Czar has made himself famous in Marion County. The German Shepherd has not only helped Grant Town law enforcement with its cases, but also many of the surrounding communities.

Czar has been called to Barrackville, Rivesville, Farmington, Fairview, and even the state has asked to used him for a variety of reasons.

His retirement party will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Grant Town Community building.

Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
