Leadership Monongalia and the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce have announced the newest group of people who will be in the Leadership Mon class of 2013-2014.

The class this year reflects the area's diversity and talent, according to Leadership Monongalia Program Director Bobbie Hawkins.

"I am truly excited to be sharing the next year with such an impressive group of individuals," Hawkins said in a news release. "I believe they will find the program both rewarding and enjoyable as we explore everything Monongalia County has to offer, from health care to history to its diverse cultures."

Leadership Monongalia is a public affairs and leadership development program that is operated through the Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce. It works to develop and motivate a cross-section of leaders who will then be expected to use their talents and abilities to inspire other people as well as to foster energy and enthusiasm throughout the county.

"I get an opportunity to meet with them this Friday at their opening retreat as they begin their year-long journey, and I applaud both the class members and the program in their dedication to developing and strengthening leaders for our community," Morgantown Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Dan Kimble said in a news release.
