Corporate executives sentenced in tax evasion scheme in Charleston, WV

Two top senior executives of Career Search One, Inc., out of Charleston, WV., were sentenced to prison Wednesday.

According to a release issued by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin, Daniel Hovis, 60, the owner and President, and Janice Hensley, 62, the company's Vice President and Director of Counseling, have both been sentenced for federal tax evasion.

Both pleaded guilty in May for failing to pay $630,158.94 in federal employment taxes to the Internal Revenue Service.  According to the release, both chose to spend the money on personal expenses.

Hovis has been sentenced to two years, while Hensley was sentenced to one year and eight months.
