West Virginia State Police have arrested a Randolph County couple and charged them with possession with intent to deliver marijuana after they failed to pick their child up from school.
State police were contacted when Logan Brook Marstiller, 32 of Montrose, and Debora Lee Rowback, 25 of Elkins, failed to pick up their young child from school. A short time later, Rowback arrived at the school. The officer noticed that Rowback's eyes were glassy and her speech was slurred, indicating that she was under the influence. The officer met with her and noticed a strong scent of marijuana coming from her purse, according to a criminal complaint. Rowback gave state police consent to search her purse and 24 individual bags of marijuana, syringes and approximately $500 in cash were inside, said state police.
Rowback told state police that she and her boyfriend, Marstiller, had traveled to the school to pick up their child. The child is in the care of Child Protective Services, said the criminal complaint.
Rowback is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $100,000 and Marstiller is being held in Tygart Valley Regional Jail with bail set at $50,000.
