Original story

The Philippi Police Department is investigating a reported burglary at a car wash on Monday night.

The owner of the Bypass Car Wash said surveillance video shows a man in a silver minivan, with a covered license plate, arrive at the car wash around midnight. He was accompanied by a woman. He used a tool to manipulate the change machines, according to police.

On Tuesday morning, an owner found the machines emptied of coins, police said.

The car wash is located on the corner of Route 119 and the Philippi bypass.

If you have any information, call 304-457-5167.
