A Lost Creek man arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection to a High Life Lounge Robbery on Emily Drive in Clarksburg is facing additional charges.
Anthony Scott Moats, 39, is accused of robbing the Jane Lew Truck Stop in Jane Lew.
Moats is being held in North Central Regional Jail until his extradition to Georgia on federal charges.
The Lewis County Sheriff's Office is investigating two armed robberies that occurred on Hackers Creek Road in Lewis County.
The sheriff's office received a call on September 10 at approximately 3:20 a.m. about an armed robbery at the 7-11 pantry store located on Hackers Creek Road in Jane Lew.
On September 12 at approximately 2:56 a.m., the sheriff's office received another call of an armed robbery, this one occurring at the Jane Lew Truck Stop, also located on Hackers Creek Road.
In both cases, the robber was armed with a black hand gun and walked out of each location with an undetermined amount of money, according to the sheriff's office.
The September 10 robber was described as a white male with a goatee and mustache, who was wearing a dark baseball cap, gray hooded jacket, blue jeans, black gloves and boots at the time of the robbery. The September 12 robber was also described as a white male with a goatee and mustache that was wearing a baseball cap, T-shirt, dark pants and boots at the time of the robbery, according to the sheriff's office.
The sheriff's office did not provide information on whether it believes the robberies are connected.
