Alderson Broaddus University is making more changes as it continues its transition from college to university.

Alderson Broaddus University has announced plans to reorganize its academic programs into individual colleges.

Administrators said the move will help support the new master's degree programs the college plans to add.

They said classes won't change, but it will offer more for the students.

"But it does give the students an opportunity, as well as the faculty, to create some academic initiatives that we may not already have here in trying to maintain contemporary and relevant for what the students' needs are," said Joan Propst, of Alderson Broaddus University.

Propst said Alderson Broaddus University will announce the first of its new master's programs on October 1.
