MORGANTOWN -

WVU Extension Services hosted a Donor Appreciation and 4-H Football Day Tailgate before the WVU-Georgia State Game  on Saturday, September 14.

West Virginia University Extension Service donors, 4-H members, alumni and friends went to the tailgate and 4-H Football Day event to interact with WVU Extension Service donors, faculty and staff to celebrate the Mountaineers and reunite with friends.

4-H Football Day also provided kids the chance to visit WVU and learn more about higher education. The Donor Appreciation Tailgate provides an opportunity for extension supporters to meet with the WVU Extension agents and specialists.

WVU Extension Services said the day was a fun, family event that provided a great opportunity to say thank you to the people who support 4-H and its programs.

4-H members and donors also participated in hands-on science experiments led by WVU Extension Service STEM Specialist Jen Robertson-Honecker, Ph.D.

For more than a century, 4-H has focused on agricultural science, electricity, mechanics, entrepreneurship and natural sciences. 4-H out-of-school opportunities also provide learning experiences in subjects like rocketry, robotics, bio-fuels, and more.
