Law enforcement in Lewis County responded to a three-vehicle accident on Route 33 near the bottom of Buckhannon Mountain Road Tuesday afternoon.
The sheriff's department said a Chevy S-10 pickup truck pulling a camper on a trailer was hit from behind by a large box truck, became attached, and continued traveling for several feet.
The vehicles were then hit from behind by a semi truck, according to state police.
Citations are pending against the drivers involved in the collision, according to state police.
Kem Sprouse, the driver of the Chevy pickup truck, was taken to Stonewall Memorial Hospital. Sheriff's deputies had no word on the extent of her injuries but said no one else was injured.
The road was closed briefly while crews cleared the scene but has since been reopened.
The Public Service Commission and the West Virginia Division of Highways also responded to the scene.
