Shinnston Hosts Frontier Days 'Lights of Life' Parade

On Wednesday, Frontier Days kicked off with its "Lights of Life Parade" honoring first responders.

Shinnston residents flocked to Main Street to pay tribute to all the first responders.

There were plenty of family fun activities for the children.

Frontier festivities continue through September 22.

 

The schedule of events is as follows:

 

September 19-

Historic Shinn house open for tours (1-4pm)

Gideon's Call (4pm)

Allied Brothers (6pm)

Orioles' Lounge Bean Cook-off (6pm Rice lot)

Lions Club Hoof-N-Paw Parade (7:30pm)

 

September 20-

Historic Shinn house open for tours (1-4pm)

Robert Lighter (4pm)

Blue Steel (6pm)

Portrait House Photography "Shinnston Memories" Photo contest (Bice Ferguson Memorial Museum)

 

September 21-

Grand Parade (12pm)

Boy Scout demonstration (Rice Lot 1-4pm)

APWA Wrestling featuring "The Steiner Brothers" (7pm)

 

September 22-

Cornhole Tournament (12pm)
