WVU Holds Reception to Honor Retired Employees

West Virginia University held a reception Thursday to honor recently retired employees.

Eighteen retirees have dedicated their professional lives to helping the WVU Division of Student Affairs.

They come from different areas in student affairs, including dining services and the student recreation center.

"They have been responsible for helping our students be successful. Our motto is, 'Students are our number one priority.' And they have certainly lived that. When you look at all of the 18 retirees that we are honoring today, they total 448 years of service," said Ken Gray, of WVU.

Ken Gray said the retirees have influenced students to learn outside of the classroom.
