First responders from Harrison and Doddridge Counties were on the scene of a house fire on Greenbrier Road, outside of Salem, Thursday night.

Doddridge County 911 said it happened around 7:20 p.m.

The Smithburg Fire Department said the house was occupied at the time of the fire, but everyone got out safely.

The department is investigating the cause of the fire, but officials said it does not appear to be suspicious. The house is a total loss.

Fire departments from Salem and Bancs also responded to the fire, as well as Anmoore EMS and the Doddridge County Ambulance Authority.
