CLARKSBURG -

The Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library has a new director.

Jill Rafter was previously the director of the Marion County Public Library and worked as a librarian at West Virginia University.

Rafter started her new job last Monday and said she enjoys the wide range of activities offered at the library.

"The staff here is very good at planning programs and opportunities for reading and learning. There is so much going on and we see all ages. We have a birth to two story time for babies, so we start early, and its very exciting to be part of that," explained Rafter.

Rafter said she loves the Clarksburg Library and the look of it. Her office has huge windows overlooking the city.

Some of the activities offered at the library range from story time with the young children, holiday parties, a teen advisory group, homework help, movie nights and much more.
