Clarksburg City Council met Thursday night to discuss ‘The Robinson Grand Theater', also known as the ‘Rose Garden Theater', that the city plans to acquire.

West Virginia University College of Business and Economics Dean Jose "Zito" Sartarelli and his wife, Kathy, have given $100,000 to the business school to create the Sartarelli Scholarship.

The scholarship will be used to help recruit high-level students to the business college, something Jose Sartarelli has been outspoken about.

Sartarelli arrived in West Virginia in 2010, and has repeatedly said an increased focus on fundraising at the business college would create new opportunities and better business students.

"I strongly believe that a great school is made of great students, great faculty and staff, great programs, great facilities and a great name," Sartarelli said in a news release. "This gift represents our contribution toward bringing great students to our beloved B&E."

The donation was made as part of "A State of Minds: The Campaign for West Virginia's University," which is a $750 million, comprehensive campaign being conducted by the WVU Foundation on behalf of the university. The campaign runs through December 2015.
