A group of colleagues is on a mission to find the best hot dog in Fairmont and is on a taste tour to find it.

Employees from Healthcare Management Solutions have met once a week for lunch for nearly a decade and they couldn't decide who serves the best hot dog in Fairmont.

So the group launched the I.T. Taste Tour to sample the fare at local restaurants and vote for the best.

"We've color coded all of the hot dogs. That way one person did the plating of the hot dogs. We have a chart that we followed and sampled each of the hot dogs. We rated them one to five based off of the bun, the toppings, and the hotdog itself," said James Davis, of I.T. Taste Tour.

Yann's hot dogs came in first, followed by a tie between Hometown Hot dogs with slaw and Woody's Hot dogs.

The Deep-fried Wright Dawg came in fourth. The next competition will involve area pizza places.
