MORGANTOWN -

The HungerU Tour mobile exhibit rolled onto the West Virginia University campus this week and stayed for two days. The mobile truck set up in front of the Agricultural Sciences Green House on the Evansdale Campus.

HungerU is heading down the East coast to tour 18 different colleges this semester. Organizers said they want to talk to students and get them to initiate conversations that focus awareness on the global hunger crisis.

HungerU is part of the Farmers Feeding the World initiative. It's taking a two-part educational message on 'hunger and the merits of advanced agriculture on tour this October and November, targeting cause-oriented college students at seven major land-grant universities.'

"We want to put an expiration date on hunger. But we can't do it ourselves. We need everybody, we need to bring awareness to that," said Mallory Weber, a HungerU Crew Member. "One of my favorite quotes that we have scrolling on our TVs is that we want to make hunger a memory but we first must stop forgetting about it."

The HungerU tour will end at the University of Florida. The HungerU Tour is generously supported by DuPont Crop Protection.

HungerU said that hungry world population is creeping up to nine billion by 2050.
