CLARKSBURG -

Bridgeport police have arrested a Salem man for using a computer to solicit a minor.

Police said Randall Lee Hinzman, 34, began emailing and texting who he believed to be a 15-year-old girl in Bridgeport. Hinzman told the girl that he wanted to "meet up and have some fun" and that he would rent a hotel room. Hinzman traveled to Bridgeport to meet the girl when he was stopped by Bridgeport Police officers. Hinzman admitted that he had plans to meet a 15-year-old girl and that he intended to have sex with her, according to a criminal complaint.

Hinzman was being held in the North Central Regional Jail with bail set at $25,000, but is no longer listed as an inmate.
